About Paula

Paula Kyle-Stephens’s childhood was shaped by the trauma her father—a Master Sergeant, Green Beret, and War Interrogator—brought home from Vietnam, the mysterious loss of her mother in West Germany, and sudden separation into foster care. Despite these hardships, Paula found resilience and hope. She is now an advocate, keynote speaker, and foster care trainer, authoring trainings on the difference foster parents make, sibling separation, and creative ways to teach youth manners. Paula is also the founder of Paradise in the Sky, Youth Motivational Services, Inc., a nonprofit equine ranch offering healing for trauma survivors. Her memoir, Ghost of a Phantom, shares her journey from adversity to empowerment.
